Day 2 started with a quick hello to the pups

Then a walk up the 1000 steps of Kotohira Shrine known as Kompira-san.

 

This is one of the most beautiful temples we have seen with magnificent gardens and spectacular views

Tom relaxes in the beautiful gardens of Kompira-san. He has reached detachment and inner peace

after only 2 days on the road

We drop in to see Mr and Mrs Muroyama parents of Muro who is a friend of Rie and Tony back on Australia

They give us some special cakes to take back to Muro but Tony forgets to put his in the fridge and by the time we meet Muro they are full of mould.
